Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a procedure in which the skin is manually exfoliated to remove dead skin buildup and fine hairs. It’s different from shaving because the intent is to improve the appearance of the skin as opposed to the removal of hair.

Dermaplaning uses a sharp No. 10 surgical blade (a larger, fatter surgical blade) held at a 45-degree angle to gently scrape the outer layer of the skin which consists of dull, dead skin cells. Included in this treatment is a skin peel, collagen mask and led light therapy.

An overall fantastic skin treatment.

Skin peels 40% glycolic

Glycolic acid peels slough off the surface and middle layers of skin, removing dead skin cells and debris.

Since glycolic acid is made up of small molecules, it readily penetrates the skin, removing the lipids that hold dead skin cells together. The percentage of glycolic acid contained in the peel determines how deeply it can penetrate the skin’s layers.

Glycolic acid also loosens and lifts excess oil from hair follicle roots, which is why it’s often used to treat acne.

It’s also thought to suppress the production of melanin, which may be why it’s beneficial for reducing dark spots.

No downtime to this treatment.

Microneedling

Skin Needling is a method of skin rejuvenation that triggers the skin’s natural ability to produce collagen, this can be helpful in treating a range of skin concerns including ageing, scarring and loss of definition.

Skin needling works by using tiny needles to cause minor trauma to the skin, encouraging the body to produce more collagen as a response to the trauma. The needles also create micro-channels in the skin which are tiny pathways to allow enhanced product penetration and absorption.

All in all, this results in refreshed, firmer and more smooth skin, pigmentation and redness are also diffused.

Microneedling is used with the new style genosys pen followed by a collagen mask and led light therapy.

Very little downtime needed.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion using Diamond-tip handpiece: This is a specially designed tool that simultaneously sloughs off dead cells whilst suctioning them away from the skin.

The depth of the microdermabrasion is determined by the technician’s applied pressure and the length of time on an area of skin. It’s typically used on the face, particularly close to the eyes due to its precision.

A rose water mask is applied to the skin after, followed by collagen gel and moisturiser spf50

Dermaplaning and microneedling
